CULTURAL BITES 2024
QUTBA joined the vibrant atmosphere of Cultural Bites 2024 at QUT Gardens Point, where students from diverse backgrounds came together to share food, stories, and cultural pride.
The event highlighted the essence of QUT’s inclusive spirit – celebrating diversity, encouraging dialogue, and strengthening the sense of belonging that makes our campus community thrive.
For QUTBA, Cultural Bites 2025 was more than just a food festival. It was a reminder that understanding culture is fundamental to understanding people – and people are at the heart of every business decision. We were proud to be part of this event, supporting initiatives that bring global perspectives to local learning.

IMLD 2025
In February 2025, QUTBA proudly joined the global celebration of International Mother Language Day, an annual reminder that language is more than a tool for communication – it is a carrier of identity, history, and belonging.
Through our activities, people shared phrases, stories, and cultural expressions from their native tongues – turning the event into a living mosaic of sound and meaning. Each word spoken represented not just a language, but a lineage – proof that diversity and dialogue strengthen our collective understanding.
At QUTBA, we believe that leadership and innovation begin with empathy, and empathy grows when we listen to one another in the languages that shape who we are. The event reaffirmed our commitment to creating an inclusive community where every voice is valued, every accent is welcome, and every culture finds its place.

IFTAR PARTY 2025
In March 2025, QUTBA hosted the annual Iftar Party, bringing together students and staff from diverse backgrounds to share in the spirit of Ramadan – a time of reflection, gratitude, and community.
The evening began with the call to prayer and the breaking of the fast, followed by a warm dinner featuring traditional dishes and heartfelt conversations. Beyond the meal, the event represented unity – a space where faith, friendship, and respect came together under one roof.
At QUTBA, we believe that moments like these strengthen our shared values of inclusivity and compassion. The Iftar Party 2025 reminded us that leadership isn’t just about ideas – it’s about understanding others, celebrating diversity, and standing together as one QUT community.

POHELA BOISAKH 2025
In April 2025, QUTBA celebrated Pohela Boishakh, the Bengali New Year, with color, culture, and community spirit. The event brought together students and staff to experience the warmth of Bangladeshi traditions – from the rhythmic beats of dhak drums to vibrant folk attire and delicious festive food.
Pohela Boishakh is more than the start of a new year; it’s a celebration of renewal, gratitude, and togetherness. The lively atmosphere at QUT reflected the essence of this festival – a time to leave behind the old, embrace new beginnings, and strengthen bonds across cultures.
At QUTBA, we believe that cultural celebrations like Pohela Boishakh enrich our shared journey, reminding us that diversity is the foundation of creativity and collaboration.

O WEEK 2025
QUTBA proudly took part in Orientation Week 2025, welcoming new students to a exciting first year at QUT. The week was filled with energy, connection, and curiosity – from campus tours and club stalls to networking sessions and student panels.
Our team met many of fresh faces eager to explore what university life has to offer. Through giveaways, and conversations, we introduced students to QUTBA’s mission: building a community where students can meet real-world experience and cultural understanding.
O-Week isn’t just an introduction – it’s a launchpad. It’s where friendships begin, ideas spark, and the journey toward professional and personal growth truly starts.

PICNIC 2025
In 2025, QUTBA hosted its annual Picnic Day, bringing members, friends, and alumni together for a relaxing day outdoors filled with laughter, games, and good food. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Brisbane’s parks, the event offered a perfect pause from the semester’s pace — a time to recharge, reconnect, and celebrate friendship.
From friendly sports matches to shared meals and spontaneous music, the day reflected what QUTBA stands for: community, collaboration, and joy beyond the classroom. Every conversation and every shared moment reminded us that leadership begins with connection.
