Networking and Growing with QUTBA
Established in 2013, the Queensland University of Technology Bangladeshi Association (QUTBA) seeks to actively facilitate the relationship between Bangladeshi students and alumni of the university. Serving over 320 members, QUTBA is one of the largest societies of QUT, providing our members with the social and mental support they need to thrive at university and in the professional world. The association has a prestigious history of hosting cultural events and career networking events, celebrating national days of Bangladesh, and promoting Bangladeshi culture.
Our Vision
- Promote Bangladeshi culture in Australia and build a network with Bangladeshis in Australia.
- Welcome new Bangladeshi students and guide them for settlement.
- Celebrate Bangladeshi cultural days and events, e.g., Bangla New Year’s Day, International Mother Language Day, and Victory Day of Bangladesh.
- Arrange networking events between current students and alumni, as well as career development events.

Message from Current EC President
It is a great privilege to represent the Bangladeshi community on global platforms. I am honored to represent our cherished QUT Bangladeshi Association (QUTBA) in Brisbane, Australia. Our deep respect for our national history, the cultural ties that unite us, and the strong sense of community we share make us proud to be Bangladeshi wherever we are in the world.

At Queensland University of Technology, our community is flourishing – not just in size but in expertise, professionalism, and as integral members of the Brisbane community. QUTBians are leaving their mark in Australia and beyond, setting inspiring examples. Since its establishment in 2013, QUTBA has grown into a robust alum network, and we take pride in being part of such a diverse and accomplished group of students and professionals. I am confident that QUTBA’s reach and impact will continue to grow, and I hope this website, as a vital resource, will serve as a central point of connection for all our esteemed members, helping us stay connected and informed about our community’s activities and achievements.

It is truly an honour to represent Bangladeshi community on any platform around of the globe. I feel myself privileged to represent our beloved QUT Bangladeshi Association (QUTBA) in Brisbane, Australia. The value of national history and heritage we share, the cultural bond we hold, the love and affection we feel among us are what we all cherish to be a proud Bangladeshi wherever we stay and live.

Queensland University of Technology is the platform where we are growing not only in numbers but also in expertise, professionalism, and valued community members in Brisbane.
Evidently, QUTBians are creating examples and engraving their marks in Australia and around the world. QUTBA, starting its journey since 2013, now has grown into a strong Alumni and we are proud to be an association of that many versatile, knowledgeable, renowned set of students and professionals.
I believe that the purpose and domain of QUTBA will grow even bigger in future, and I wish this website would become the centre of information and a great repository to all our respected and valued members.
